Good Article Dan! Sobering as well.. Team owners are having difficulty getting sponsors for their marquee drivers, attendance is down, TV coverage sucks (at best)..I for one no longer have anything to do w/NASCAR (used to be a 4-5 Race a yr kinda guy)..Goes to show you though what a Great Job the NBRA folks are doing. Being able to attract Sponsorship is tough. Not sure what a solution to APBA's Kneeldown woe's is, but marketing MULTIPLE sections (ie Unlimited/Off Shore/MOD/SO..etc etc) from a central source probably isn't one of them. Thanks again for the article.

In my humble opinion the world as we once knew it is a different place just within the last five years. Peoples interest change and what was once the "in" thing has been replaced by something new. Technology has changed which in turn has changed the way humans interact with each other. Modern day technology also plays a huge role in what we find interesting and how we interact with our surroundings. Today's youth are a very rare breed given the technology available to them.

We are truly in the midst of a changing world and what comes next is anyone's guess. Motorsports of all types are facing huge hurdles going forward in todays complex society. The old formulas for success are now on display at the Simthsonian Amercian History Musem.
