  • ‘Motor/Hardware’ Pictures Wanted

In support of the race action slide show we are developing (see my thread “Action Pictures Wanted”) we would also like to get our hands on motor and hardware pictures. The project is taking on the added element of ‘education’. We would like to use any focus pictures you may have of motors any related hardware such as throttles or throttle cable hookups or kick out brackets as setup for a run or steering wheel cable hubs or…anything that could support this project.

The thought is to capture and display all the different motors along with detail shots of some of the miscellaneous hardware used so as to help dispel some of the mystery of our sport.

    Thanks for supporting
    Raymond

      Photos of projects

      http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forum...ead.php?t=6393

Great idea to catalogue the things that have been done over the years. Some time back I started a thread on Boat Racing Facts titled 40-H in the technical section. The link is above. There are a ton of photos that I have posted along with a great number of other folks. You might find the thread useful.

              Grocery list?

Ray, great idea; provide a grocery list of engines/classes you want to feature.
OldBU's pics are about the closest thing to Modified Porn; spectacular perfection(eg: P Anderson/A Jolie) for centerfold calendar pics, but a long way from my daily driver I wake up beside every morning....
Stock Outboard Racing!....because other sports,....golf, football, baseball, etc....only require one Ball!

                    Twisted D-mod engine

I saw this engine in 2004 at Lake Buhlow (Pineville, LA). I "THINK" it was Larry McAffee's? Someone correct me via email and I'll edit this post.

The engine mounting is rotated to keep water out of the carbs as well as to allow the exhaust to exit straight out without elbows.

Note the "golfball" dimpled gearcase as well.
