Wilson, NC- Feedback Requested

I am posting this thread to get some feedback on our race site in Wilson, NC. Our club (CVRA) needs to make a decision as to whether or not to host a race at this location for the 2011 year. I am interested to know if people would come back to this site. Please give us some feedback.

(I have never posted a survey on HR, and am attempting to do so with this thread so that persons can vote "yes" they would come to the race, or "no" they would not.)

Yes, a date would be helpful, right? I think August 20th & 21st looks good, as it doesn't appear to conflict with other races. However, we will need to check the availability of the lake for that date, as well as have it approved by Wilson Tourism.

Wilson is toooo good a location to pass up for our club........perhaps if the August date doesn't work out because of the lake availability we could look at Mid September??

Watch out for mid September just for the fact that it is hurricane season....just something to think about.

Tough luck has mistreated this site

John and I visited this site several times before we scheduled our first race.
Each time the water was perfect race conditions, however it seems that every time a race is scheduled the weather has just not cooperated. One of the best race sites I have ever been to with great pits, great food, and community support.
I regret leaving NC for many reasons, and this site, and race is up there on the list.
I would not worry too much about Hurricane season, we had a race at Camden that was threatened by a Hurricane, but we pulled it off too.

Keep working at it guys, the site is well worth the effort!
