Here is a post from Gary Pugh on the apr website.
"New APBA and UIM capsule standards are 2,000 newtons for
45's and 60's and 3,000 newtons for 120's and f-1's.
My standard lay-up that I have been building since 2001 went
to 5,000 newtons. A new experimental lay-up went past 6,000
newtons before they quit testing.
This is a big relief to me and hopefuly a comfort to those
of you who are racing my boats."
Word is that Pugh Boat Works is the only capsule so far to submit and meet the new requirements.
Gary proved what many of us have know.
Thanks for fast and safe boats Gary.
