Former Champboat Driver Harry Davis Dies

Some of the old timers here will remember Champboat driver Harry Davis, Harry was a long time friend of mine and also was the first African American to run with the V8's in Pittsburg.

Hmmm seems to me i remember old Harry and i do believe that Dan Lawrence seems to have owned a Black Tunnel hull with yellow,orange,and red stripes with a big fat old Johnson double throw down and get it powerplant so fast the only thing the was enough to catch a underwater sea wall that absolutely made a mess of that nice boat wow i must be getting old to remember this stuff,i am sorry to hear of his passing though that was a pretty large group of tunnel boat racers from up your way.

Yep that was the Champboat I bought from Harry and his Johnson RS V6, Bill Fleck and Tiffany did the paint job, yeah good old Harry left us Thursday morning.
