  • GT Pro racing in the SE

I don`t see the GT Pro class racing in the OPC events in the SE, primarily Florida. Is there no interest in that class, here? It seems to do ok in the upper Midwest. I`m an old guy thats been away from the sport for many years, would like to get back into it, and I don`t want to get into anything expensive or complicated.

    Also interested,

    https://hydroracer.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8433

Need a builder/boat locator who is interested in promote'n class in this area...

    Engines plentiful

Once registered, You could test anywhere.........meet at a different lake each week-end.......set some corners..test.

Would the OPC curcuit have room/time/interest in these?......Or would they fit better in the SLT or personal watercraft/Jet'Ski curcuit?

Another place .....We have a Classic boat show/event this Summer at Mayville, NY. on Chautauqua lake (South of Buffalo) July 25-27 and promoter (716-665-9744 Ron Mativy) is look'n for
easy to run event to go with show........Post Journal is bring'n back a runabout trophy from races (1950's) at Bemis Point when they pitted at the Lenart Hotel......
...weekend before Whitney Point Nationals............Fly-bys/test'n may be avail to the kneelers........

    Just some scattered thoughts,

Steve, I think the thing to do is get enough interest going and have completely separate events. Everyone already complains that schedules are too long.

If the class can move by itself, it will be invited to other events.

GT Pro is not a kneeler, its a sit down mostly tunnel hull boat, some V bottoms.
