I don't think it will be comparable to any current OPC class. It is intended as a novice class without the scavenger hunt required for equipment in other classes.

Kegs, that is the original boat (from Europe) that the Formula 4-60 was introduced with.

Currently Jason Neri has built a capsule and shipped it to Gary Pugh. Gary is in the process (may be done??) of building a functional race boat that will also double as the plug for a mold. Once testing is completed and the changes have been done then the finished "plug" will be sent back to Jason for building. I believe the initial plan was to have at least 1 "finished" rig available by Seattle.

APBA Spec Boat update

The Spec Boat running plug will be completed in a couple weeks and will be tested in TN with Gary Pugh and Chris Fairchild. I plan to be at the test session if time allows. The boat will be tested until Gary and Chris are pleased with the results. Then the running plug will head west for the molds to be built. We are building 5 boats to start. The engines are here, hardware and parts are being built. Trailers and Props will be ordered when boats go into production.
The promotion plan to roll this new project out is underway and will be in place when the boats are finished. This may/will change as I do not have a delivery date for the boats as the running plug has not been tested and OK'ed for production.
Cost of complete rig, less fuel and safety gear will be est. $18,750.00

Chris Fairchild has the plug, it is fully rigged and ready for testing.

He went to the river once only to find it a little hard. Chris is bringing the boat to TN over the XMAS time frame to do some testing while visiting with his family for the holidays.
