    Prop

You canget a new prop at your local dealeer for the stock fishing l/u. Racing lower units are available from Racing Outboards on this sight . Call Craig Dewald for a J test wheel.

You can find the Stainless props you are looking for all over the interent for around $200. For a J class lower, which is also an A class lower, bite the bullet and buy a new one. You will be hard pressed to find a used one. Plan on $995 for the unit, $120 for the water adapter, $65 for the driveshaft adapter, and then you have to chop a drive shaft down to fit the J case, which would have a $90 cost to machine the splines.

J testing wheel, $135 from Dewald, AXS/A wheel $350.00. If you are going to race you have to have the hotrod case. If you are looking to get a little more out of what you got, tell what you got before you drop the $$$ on the race case. You can run the stock thru hub gear foot on an A hydro, and see 42-45MPH speeds with a stock aluminum prop. Play with a stainless prop, who knows...I'm going to bet seeing 48-50 could be done, i just have not had the time or extra money to buy a stainless prop and try it.
