Tragic, treacherous Parker Arizona....

is the site of another tragic loss of life this Thanksgiving weekend! I don't enjoy posting this !
Kyle Bement and the SS550, having run over 30 heats to familiarize him with his Grand Pas' Bezer, barrel rolled at the start of the finals in Super Stock. National points runner up last year had drawn lane 1 and many of us saw the incident on a Live Feed video.
Such a sad situation for all boat racers who love what they do and accept these potential consequences. Kyle will be missed!
Region 12 A stock hydros, 45s and Cs were also present and racing in same water conditions!

This is the very same boat I raced against in my first APBA event at Cascade park, Moses Lake Wa.! Incredible family of racers for decades if you include their Grampa Dick.

Just took a closer look at the photos and saw that he was co-rookie of the year in Crème Bement. A name I remember from the 70's? must have been Dick. Very sad.
