Another example of how good we got it in the Northwest! I know it doesnt compare but Ione in July should be a very good time! In 2006 or 05 we ran the 'Firecracker Regatta' there with Budweiser sponsoring the awards, so if folks participate, it could be good! Lots of shade and viewing for spectators in the huge patio, just dont know how they plan of crowd control, but then this is where they run snowmobile races on water!
The limestone caves and huge water fall area is only minutes away from Box Canyon area, right next door to Ione and Metaline Falls where the movie 'The Postman' and Kevin Costner starred and directed. Tourist should abound. Of course lodging is scarce but camping is allowed in the Park for that weekend, usually!!!!! Anybody know for sure?Comment
