  • Seen this you tube video? hydros & flats

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTPerwKx-LI

5 minutes of good photography: 'Hydro Races Moses Lake' with a sprinkling of Vintage hydros and Outlaw Flats. Possibly 2007 or 2006, I am losing track, anyone? I know I hired the 2 man camera crew and lost money selling CDs..

Hard to see but would the shovel nose hydro with the 3 cards be an old Ford flatty with 3 Stromberg 97's? I believe they called it 135 class

Chevy small block in High Lead, and boy did that boat rock and roll~! It had set in a chicken coop for 43 years before the nephew dug it out (literaly) and restored her. It is one of the fastest Vintage hydros to the date of 2006 running NW. I believe it was retired for a total wood makeover somewhere in Seattle. The other craft was the Hollywood Movie Star Miss Miami and it was all fiberglass!! Sure miss the noise that these 2 made and the incredible side by side show! Drivers were relatives. One went to 5 liter capsules and now races Vintage cycles! Both were Nostalgia bred incredible self taught racers!

Forgot one also drove an ERR Jones flat in the video, very well I may add. Both boats are in storage but may return someday.

Jerry did run a 135 Flathead Ford called Snapper and was probably there that weekend having fun. That boat burned at Moses Lake while running APBA with the huge group of Vintage Hydros that we helped start back in 2002!
