It seems every time I turn around there is a nuther big pice of boat racing gone. I wish that for one moment that we could remeber what we loved about this sport the first time we saw it. It was not the rules the poltics or who was the best .it was the sound and the way that the boats looked when thay took the start the. only way we can ceap this feling alive is to get along. I was remined of this when I got the news tha tommy swanson had passed on sunday.Tommy was a hero to me as a kid and if we v drivers dont start geting along we will see this sport die soon. with that said god speed to tommy but not to our sport. ps forgive my spelling

Its always good to hear from you geekenheimer. Yes, racing is losing some greats each and every day. You youngsters have some big shoes to fill and racing depends on you to continue making the loud noise!
When I'm gone, at least you still have my chain jerking as spewed here! Some good, some politics. I dont see the later as bad, some boat racers dont even talk to their wifes much less competitors so it leaves spoken details to a few who communicate either here or on the phone. If we called one another we can get boats for any class you may be gearing up for. It just takes three to show up! Four is better allowing for attrition. This is exactly what I hope to accomplish next year, another bunch (some new some old) of racers ready to have fun with me.
Keep posting, you wont believe the response I get, I had to change a phone number to get some rest!
Rest in peace Tom. Wish I had a chance to meet him. Hey why dont you give Mr Nuetz my number? Love to meet him.
