(Just kidding) Thanks for the link.
Seems like about every other thread has had drama, so let me be one of the offenders and keep it alive in this one. Sorry,,,,,,Just Sayin....
Maybe some hydro racers dont like the v drives, but I will say IMO v drivers have helped the sport of hydro racing in the pacific northwest. Several v drivers have family members who have got into hydro racing, I have looked at and will sometime have a hydro for my kids. I would not have ever considered the sport for my kids if I had not be exposed to it through racing v drives. I also think the more boats the better at a venue, this has been a dying, expensive, hard to insure, hard to promote, and a hard to find race venues kinda sport. If we cant work together we are for sure part of the problem and not even close to part of the solution. And for the other page, v drives in the pacific northwest would not have had a chance to race if it not been for the hydros having race venues, insurance, etc in place to be invited to jump into. So with that said, thank you to the hydros for makin it real for the flaties.
Carry on........or cant we all get along??????sigpic

Ok, guys. I created this little section on hydroracer for the flat bottom guys, all of whom have become great friends. So... no more bashing of the flatties please, I created them this little space on hydroracer because I wanted them to have a place of their own. They run with the hydros and runabouts in the Pacific Northwest and we are pleased to have them included with our programs. Thanks!
Welcome to hydroracer, we hope you enjoy your visit.

You guys got me all wrong.
I have nothing against inboard boats or inboard boat racers. In fact I think they ROCK! I was just making a little joking reference to someone who started umpteen new threads that got very little response here at H.R. Reason being, I think most of the tiny outboard racers here at H.R. have had very little exposure to your catagory. I was NOT making any kind of joke directed toward Inboard boat racing in general.
This past spring, I was able to rub elbows with some inboard racers at the Muscatine, IA. boat show. I had the only outboard driven boat to take to the water that weekend. My "D" runabout looked pretty tiny alongside some of those big inboard driven boats! Clearly, the inboard boats stole the show that weekend. And when those guys started up those big monsters... YYEEEEOOOWW!
Like I said, you guys rock!

Mr Mrs Bluesky dont despair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I let the puter cool down and look what happens.......nice! Love it! My name says it all, I use IT (jerkizoidal attitude towards life) and my controvershial comments to cause posts and gain info.....and it seems to be working, not just here but 2 other sites featuring inboards.
I cant tell you how many times we as a new bunch of racers have been encouraged and instructed by the best experienced racers and boat builders in the business! From the East coast to Austraila and back again, I have personally been contacted and given the confidence and the technical know how on flat racing and how to promote it. Most important would be; SAFE flat old boat racing!
If my posts offend anyone, I am truly somewhat sorry. If they encourage others to lurk and read, it's by design! No more appology! And if someone posts their ideas and thoughts, or even shows up at a race.................... my time and effort are totally WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes, if not often, you have to offend and insult others in cyberspace to finally make the attempt to register and spew their feelings and thoughts!! My mission is then complete!
Dont feel picked on outboarders cause I DONT. I post to provoke more! Same thing with jetboat folks, many have purchased v-drives! In conclusion, Each boat style-powerplants has its advantages and disadvantages. And just like all the different styles of people, the world continues to rotate!
Now what happens to us when the poles shift? Snowmobile races? Yours and my boats used for kindling and warming cook fires?
