  • 2007 NBRA Racing Season Chat

So what new stuff is everyone getting ready to run this year. I know that there is talk of me possible running a few new classes AS WELL as my usual classes. So I hope that will come through. If so we mite have to start bringing 2 trailers to the races. But anyways, I hope everone has had a good off season. But here in a few months we start to spray the water again. So lets hear whats new and get everyone excited to come to some NBRA's races this season. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon .. Later guys ..

P.S. We need more 2 Cylinder Runabouts ... If you have a Yamato 80/102, or Hot Rod A/B, put them on the runabouts and lets race .. these classes are losing boats from their fields ... lets bring it back to life ...

    New Wood

Possibly new wood for the SEH, if I can find time between the other new boats for folks.

350CC Rossi to compete at the USTS, gonna be fun !

Possible new wood for dad for E Hydro. He keeps putting a bug in my ear.

Hopefully a new setup so I can finally compete with Rotten Ralph at the Nat's.

Not sure what else trouble I can get into, but will try some...

      Safety+safety+safety=prizes

Just got word from Exec.Secretay Roy Mackey that NBRA has entered into a contingency race program with LIFELINE MARINE SAFETY PRODUCTS.
Not clear on all the details, all I know is you must register your boat on a form supplied by LIFELINE and MUST display a LIFELINE sticker on your boat all season. No cost to the drivers. LIFELINE will provide gift certificates at the end of the season for high point drivers. Each certificate is worth $100.00 off a new life jacket AND $50.00 off new kevlar AND $50.00 off new helmet. Thats a $200.00 prize to NBRA high point drivers who participate in this program. Doug Schultz~NBRA Safety Director

The Lifeline thing sounds awesome, what if you have a lifeline decal on the Trailer ... would that work the same as having it on your boat?? We have lifeline decals ... just wondering .. anyways, what is the deal with races this year ?? Is there talk of any new race sites .... We need to find some way to promote the smaller class runabouts this year too, aswell as the 40 HP"D" classes and B Hydro .. are there any idea on how we can do this ?? I am in the process of getting some friends of mine from school (which i am at right now), to come out and take a few laps in an 80 Hydro and possible a runabout too. So im doing what I can down here ... any new drivers going to come race with us this year with any of you guys ?? Well I better get off this thing the teacher is walking my way and I dont want her to think im not typing an essay ..(which I finished about 5 minutes ago) .. but still she would not approve of boat racing during school .. so im gone .. LOL .. later guys

                Lifeline Program

In response to John Mathews post. Lifeline will provide decals that need to be displayed on your boat through-out the season.
As for the small runabout classes.....Not a small class but Dave Baze is talking about dragging my old runabout out of storage and running SE and maybe E runabout next year.

Mr. Keith is the ODA working on any new races in any new locations for this upcoming season ??

Mr. Doug ... what is the first race that you will be attending .... I like your music choices to play on the PA before the races .. lol .. You cant race after listening to bad music .. it messes with your head .. The last time I tried .. I got tossed out in the first turn doing about 70 and that wasnt so soft of a hit .. lol .. So we need you at our races for atleast our ear's sake .. lol
