Congratulations to all the winners and all those that participated!!!!!!! I wish I could have been there to mix it up with you all. I had a Continuing Education couse in Las Vegas (Yes, I was in class from 2-5 on Friday and 8-5 on Saturday). I was also making a pitch to the marketing director of Invisalign (The Clear braces company) for them to have a wonderful marketing opportunity and sponsor the What's Up Doc? racing team. I got shot down, but you never know down the road what could happen. Looks like I will have to do some fillings if I want any more props!!!!!! I also got recognized for meeting a certain level with Invisalign. I hated to miss because Centralia has some of the best water in the country. See you all at Okmulgee, and looks like I better get to doing my homework!!!!!! For any of you curious dental people, go check out Invisalign.com.

Could someone please check the results for Sunday, it was me in the SEH, not dad. He ran E Hydro. I noticed the newspaper had him in SEH as well. No big deal to me, just want to make sure the books are right when the paychecks arrive !!

Note about NBRA race results: I was surprised to see my name on the list at all as I jumped the gun in the first heat and didn't run second heat. I forgot that you go a lap down for jumping the gun instead of getting DQ'd. You still get points. If I had remembered that at the time I'd have jacked my motor up some more (had too big a prop for the course) and run the second heat.

Dave on paper work I have u. Remember we asked before we left who it was, but I didn't change it on paper i looked at for results on here. Paper work for checks and national office have been changed and they say Dave.

Yes u will have to remember that at next race. If you finish the race u will get points whether u jump the or not. Jumping just makes u go to the back of the pack, but remember u may not have been the only one that jumped.

Bad Fuel

I got a bad batch of Fuel from home. Gresleys and I get gas at the same BP station here in Battle Creek. It still is Amoco fuels it says. Well in Zanesville poor Garret got a DQ in J hydro as well, so we know the meters were right opn the money. Same gas two different orgs, and still bad gas. No additives, just premuim grade gas. Did some checking this week, BP now adds Ethonol to their gas, dad asked around. We learned our lesson. Check your fuel before racing ! Same station I have been getting gas from for about 20 years. First time we had a problem with it. Also my first DQ at any race with any organization other than jumping the gun. Not a bad track record !! Let me see, 26 years one DQ for fuel. I am okay with it, it was bad gas, I deserved to be DQ. I should have been smart enough to check it before hand.

MANY thanks to all the folks who loaned us fuel to continue with weekend. Mac's, Abears, Hebert's, etc. THANKS Guys !!

BP fuel

Dave - This sucks! I have always got BP fuel after talking with you a few years ago. No problems. I am going to the BP station on Sprinkle rd. in Kalamazoo tomarrow to get gas for Defience race. I'll let you know what my Digitron readings are. Last year at Defience Tom Rice had to have a fuel of the day, due to no known legal fuel in that area. Guess we'll see what happens.

The ethanol factor is going to be a problem for everyone soon... I imagine all sanctioning bodies will have to make some decisions on it... all pump gas will have ethanol sooner or later.

Higher Readings

Well I know from talking with a lot of folks in Centrallia, NBRA will be on top of the situation with allowances in place. I just hope it can be implemented well before it creates a larger issue than it is. I have to say, NBRA is eons ahead of APBA on the fuel issues. They already have some tolerences in place to accomodate. Just needs tweaked now to adjust for that dam corn. Good for the farm states though, their economy will be doing better.

Nice pro-active approach NBRA, thanks for taking the lead in the fuel situation and saving racers from running around like chickens with their head cuts off to find legal gas.
