  • NBRA Lucas OIl Straightaway Record Trials

Lucas Oil June 28 Race. Timing equipment is on the way. Looks like we will do the record runs on Sat. Their will an early morning 2 hr session before the race. We hope to have the race over by 3 to 4 pm and will continue .the trials again. Testing is allowed on Fri. At least $4500.00 tow money. Stay over Sat nite for the Car races, all part of the program. Lets see how fast some of these rigs really are.

Could use some voluteers to help make this happen. If this is successful we will do it at the Sept race also.

Fri. Ambulance will be on site Fri. for afternoon Testing. We may devote the last hour to record runs, if we have the timing equipment set up and functioning. The straightaway course will be 1/8 mile. Records will be set in all classes ran, as their are no records for the 1/8 mile at this time. Plans call for a early Sat morning session of about 2 hrs. and after the races Sat afternoon. Good chance to see how fast you really are, and how accurate your GPS or Speedo is.

$20.00 gets you 2 attempts at setting a record. Each attempt you must pass thru the traps once in each direction. After your first attempt you must wait until all the other drivers have made their first passes thru the traps. You then will be allowed to take your second attempt if you want to take it. The order of sign ups will determine your turn on the course. I f for some reason we run out time or have technical glitch and you do not get to run your money will be refunded.
