Hey Jeff, about the Louisiana races... Are y'all going to race on the east side of the river in May and the west side in September? ;-).

Alexandria / Pineville LA < great place to race. I know of none better.

Mountain Home, AR < I think enough has recently been posted about this place. Very pretty. Don't miss it!

Rockaway Beach, MO < Very cool place to race. I like it. Walk from the pits to almost anywhere you want to go in town.

Quincy, IL < I'm not aware of any place in boat racing that has more history. Every boat racer should make this one at least once!

Centralia, IL < Another very good race site and it's also the NATIONALS!

McAlester, OK < not sure which site they are racing at (more than one possibility). Need more info on this one.

I haven't been to the others....
          ...

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

True but think of the character that you're building.........

Seriously though we could not be in better hands during this time of transition...keep up the great work Jeff we are all behind you!

                      schedule

We all need to start building extra engines to last the long season. We are truely blessed to have this many opportunities to blow over! We are looking into getting more trucks, rubber, gas and drivers to make these races. The guy who gets the high point of the year, this next year will have have counted allot of yellow lines and his eyes are on the red side...Lets all go have fun...Pull the string and sit in the back, make'm fly.....

Also running out dates on the calendar.... We were forced into taking the weekend before Trout Creek, we didn't want to and tried everything in our power to avoid the conflict but that is what we were left with. We will try to avoid this in the future but if we keep adding dates it will begin to force people to start choosing what races they attend and I believe that in the end our organization will suffer because of it. Don't get me wrong this is a good problem to have. Always better to have too many races than to have only 2 or 3. Not sure what the solution would be but just wanted to mention it so that we, as an organization, can come up with one.

                            grove race

We will reschedule the Grove Race for 2014. We ran into schedule problems with the Bass tournament groups that took up the lake. In our region, bass boats will bring 200-300 boats a weekend, which take priority over our fifty boats...Money for facilities are raised through the fish and wild life dept. of the state. The city which suppies the money were behind us, but the lake is run by bass fisherman, because of the sheer numbers. With permits in a year inadvance, we are assured of a place at the table. I like the June 21-23 date for 2014. The short course nationals can be held at McAlester, ok, or if we get a good race to replace Grove on the third weekend of June, I will support it..

Who knows for sure if the Alexandria / Pineville races will be on the lake or on the river? I have heard both ways.
