I would like to see the rules changed to allow a new driver to race a weekend for the one day(one weekend)fee of forty dollars. So you come to a NBRA for the first time and you can join NBRA for forty dollars and race two consective days. We now have a one day membership for forty dollars, but that rule was made when we just raced on Sunday. We need to give a break to first time drivers. This would help our Lucas Shoot Out race to attract other drivers to this great venue.

How often does one get a free pat down from a very nice looking lady. Trust me Joe, had you been there your eyes woulda been bugging out too !! I just made the mistake of complimenting her on how attractive she was... All it got me was a bag search.

The rule book says single sanction membership $45.00 so yes you are good for the weekend. You can add to it later to become a full member. Single sanction are not good for a championship race.

Dates are usually discussed during the meeting with a tentative schedule voted on by meetings end.

Thanks For the Meeting

As always, NBRA put on a great weekend event. The commission meeting Saturday morning was early, especially for a few of us that chose to stay out late, but we managed to get all of our business done shortly after a lunch break. A lot of things were discussed, thought out, and decisions made. It looks like 2013 is going to be a huge year again. Lots of race dates already set, even most of the ODA sanctions have been filed for the 2013 races. Talk about getting the information out there !!! Some great ideas were presented throughout the day, some did not make a vote, some did. So all of the NBRA members should look for the ballots soon to vote on your class rules. I know some changes were presented to vote on for weight changes, and some class structure changes were discussed for the C Runabout class.

A congrats to Jeff Ruth for being elected President on the NBRA. I know with Jeff at the helm, NBRA is in good hands.

Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting, and the banquet Sat night, it was fun. It was fun crashing the Horse Breeders banquet next door too !! Talk about a crazy group !!!

I echo your sentiment, Dave. Excellent meeting, great to see everybody. Very excited to have Jeff Ruth and Art Kampen at the helm. These guys know what we want in an organization and how to get there. I left there with total confidence in our leadership. NOW: will somebody please fast forward the DVR to May 2013??? LET'S GO RACING!!!!

NBRA meeting

The NBRA team put on a great event. The 2012 DVD with all the photos was outstanding and we need to thank Linda for her hard work. Dave, the two money for the event was a big plus. Hopefully next year we will see some new members that want to race with an outstanding group of folks.

It was a fun weekend and I would like to second the hard work Linda put into the DVD.. It was also nice to be part of the process of condensing and clarifying some of the rules..We will miss everyone till next year..

It is to bad we have to put on our snow shoes now and wait a long time for next season..

I would also like to thank Linda for the great slideshow. It takes a lot of work and time to take all of those photos, download to the computer, put the slideshow together, edit photos and select music, etc. Great job and amazing photos of NBRA "Doing There Thing"... Thanks to everyone who made the meeting and banquet successful..

Well Yea Joe John. tow money. our budget allowed 2 cents per driver. So you are telling me you didnt get your 2 cents in??
