  • NBRA Nat's - Highlights

WOW, what a great nationals !!! A lot of new faces and a lot of familiar faces. Thanks to those that decided to come over and try their hand at a title.

    Some highlights.
Meeting the Montana Crew. Was a pleasure to meet you and camp next to you. Even that Washington feller that came with you, George. LOL ! Will work on that horse trading to get an elk hunt.

Courtney Sanders - CONGRATS on your first National Title. Well deserved young lady.

Seeing Vanover kept up way to late and still managing a title or two.

Seeing the novice class run with new faces.

Watching Alan Owen all stressed out over putting the Nat's on. He always does it first class, and he always stesses out.

I think we had full fields in all but a couple classes. It is a great thing to see.

Seeing Dad defend his SEH title against some of the most talked about engines around !

Not seeing any politics. Just fun, and some serious racing !! Man, people had the A game on here.

Thanks to all the volunteers that made this possible. Without them, the fun we have each weekend would not be possible.

Can't wait to see the pics and videos start surfacing. If you missed it, you missed a good one.

Alan, I hope we can have the Nat's back in Centrallia, it is such an awesome place to race !! While the water was a little down (like most of the midwest) it made for some exciting racing ! It is still one of my favorite bodies of water to race on.

Dave, Its all worth it in the end when everyone has a good time. I think Nationals should move around but we tend to get a much better turn out here with the Nationals. We will see what all comes up at the National Meeting for next year.

My highlight. Watching my son Keith walk away from that horrific crash he had on the front straighaway. My thanks to the EMT`s and all the people that helped get him to ambulance and retrieve our D Hydro. Keith went to the emergency room when he got home no broken bones but he is really sore.

Shoot Bryan, we were going at least 93 when you went for your swim. Glad you are doing fine.

That was a very fun race. Thanks again Alan for all your hard work.

Dave & Lyle - it was very nice to meet you Michigan Gents. Just start stock piling power heads for me and we'll be able to work something out. I'm gonna have a chat with my buddies at the gun club and learn more about Elk. Might even entertain going for some Merc stuff....(I didn't just say the "M" word, did I?) And thanks again for all the tips.

Alan Van Wheele - It was a pleasure to meet you guys. Those are some very pretty motors.

Brian and Mike B. from OKC - Keep me posted on the Hog problem. I'll be more than happy to come down and help out with the slayin'.

Doc, Rick and Braxton - Glad to meet y'all. Doc I'll be looking harder at my Rhododendrons now. Rick I'll be wearing out more Sonic care heads and using miles of floss. Braxton congratulations on a fantastic weekend, you'll be a great mentor for Layton.

David Baze - It was very nice to meet you. I hope you keep having fun running that SE!

Courtney V. - Congratulations on your win! (Did I just get beat by a girl? LOL)

Team Nichols - You have some very fast boats. But the driver of yours is a bit of a loose cannon! Back at you Dave! LOL

Rich and Homer S. - It was a real pleasure to meet you guys too! I'm sure we'll talk again at Trout Creek.

John Mathews, Sonny and Randy - I'm glad to have met all you guys. Hopefully you make it up to Montana. John we'll find a boat for you to drive WHEN you make it. Oh BTW I got your message on YouTube, I'm more active here on HR, so it's easier to get a hold of me.

Tim and TJ Schneider - It sounds like you guys have the same kind of luck that I do. I have way too much money into lower unit stuff. Thanks again for the SE tips. Next year is going to be a whole new program.

Kevin McAfee and Linda - Kevin you have some fast stuff! And Linda thanks so much for all your help in keeping things moving smoothly. Hope to see you guys in a couple weeks.

Marty Thayer - Congradulations on a terrific weekend. And it was so nice to meet your team.

Jack Stotts - Did you see the color of my helmet? LOL Thanks for keeping the program rolling smoothly.

Thanks to anyone else I've forgotten to mention. That was an incredible weekend. Any of you who are headed to Montana, bring your sweater. It was 58 degrees this morning. Might be a nice relief from the heat for some of you. I can't wait to see everyone again!

Lastly, I'd like to thank Mike and Teresa Phillips - The entire trip was a memorable one. One that I'll remember for the rest of my life. I had a ton of fun and can't thank you enough for letting me tag along.

Was a pleasure to meet you as well man! Really enjoyed BSing with you and Josh Saturday night as well. I hope we get to tear up the water together again soon dude
I think quiet often about the offer that you, Josh, Kyle, AND Tyler have all sent my way about coming up there for some races. I hope to make that trip a reality before too long.
