  • Fuel for NBRA Nats

    All,

While I don't have a DigaTron fuel tester handy I can point you to a couple of sources of race fuel for the NATS.

    108 Race Gas is available $35 a bucket (I think that's $7 a gallon) from:

    Cross Oil Co.
    3300 W. North Ave.
Ponca City, OK (580) 762-4377 (Ask for Dick)

Non-Ethanol Pump Gas is available from:

    Triple T Quick Stop (VALERO)
    2500 Lake Rd.
    Ponca City, OK (580) 762-3093.

This Triple T is only a couple miles from the lake and on the road between the race site and the Econolodge.

OBRA will have the Digatron available for pre-testing at the race, but the Valero stations in Oklahoma are advertising ethanol-free..and that's about the best you can do to reduce at least one oxygenator that can trigger the Digatron reading.

Even the Shell stations in Ponca are using ethanol blends, as are Conoco/Phillips and Phillips 66 stations.

Oklahoma just passed a law that pumps have to be labeled as to ethanol content or not. Some say "May contain"... take that as "Does Contain."
