After a rocky start Sat, Only half the program got ran. Too many pleasure boats. Sun was a different story the Coast Guard and DNR got a handle on the situation Sun. program began at noon and was over at 4:00. Great sponsor, spectacular riverfront park. Big crowds Sat & Sun. Will meet with sponsor in Sept to setup next years race. Had a decent turnout of drivers for a first time river race. Thanks to Nichols Racing from Tex. Jeff Ruth from Ark. Burnin Vernon from Kansas. All three of those drivers went home with $200.00 to help cover their trip. Race with the ODA & NBRA and your going home with some cash in your pocket

Art I had a great time , the hole town turned out in droves as spectators and the marinia owner was great Looking foward to next year there, ODA did a great job and burnin Vernon had the crowd on there feet, announcing, ODA has the best monies for the racers Jeff

A big thanks to Art and the Chamber did an outstanding job of promoting this event there were more spectators in one day than both days combined at Centralia. If you go on the web and type in "Havana IL boat races" and search there are two News Stations with videos clips from the races.

My Boss asked if this was the race I went to last weekend. It wasn't as I went to Candlewick in Popular Grove IL. But your race definatly got some good news coverage for him to hear about it and see some video from your race. Good Job all!!
