We have had good luck getting rings from hasting ring company, novi.mi.

How do you order from Hastings? I thought you had to go thru a dealer?? Also i have found on there Mercury 20 cubic inch rings the radial depth of the ring is too much.

We bought rings for our 55H engines from them for many years from them and they worked fine, the 40 and 20 cu. in. mercs use the same rings. The hasting rings are cast and not chrome like the OEM rings bur never had any problems with that either. The cast rings come in a little faster but don't last as long.

laddies, thank for the info. I have some rings here I assumed were hastings but the radial depth is more than the Mercury rings. I think I will have to bore them out, what a pain
