  • Looking for a 44xs

I'm looking for a Mercury 44XS, just wondering if there are any around. We run in our club regatta once a year and every other Sunday we get together with a few other boats and race for fun. I live in Western Canada, so Canadian found motors would be nice but will consider a motor from wherever. Thanks
    Thanks Rod
    email too. raqa@telus.net

Are you a collector or looking to race?

I would say we are fun racers, our club has a regatta once a year and we also have a course that we race around every weekend. Not collectors

Get in touch with Glen Wenasco, he races in APBA in Region 10, Washington and Oregon. He lives in Victoria. He should be able to help you find a motor.

                Hey Daren, what you got?

You mean Merc 44, yes? Easy to do, but the Mk 55H tower and gearcase are expensive collector parts. Suggest Mk58, Mk58A, Merc 400, very early Merc 500 44 cu. in. powerheads with full carb butterflies, as all those fit, with 40 / 44 cowls on a 55H lower unit with no modifications...

Someone gave me the name of Mark Lowery with a Mercury 44xs for sale, said that they have dealt with him in the past. Could that person get hold of me as I lost the email. Please pm me.
