  • Help Identify prop

I have this Mark 40H prop & I don't know anything about it.
Number on the side of the hub is 48-24588 DU
Appears to be a 11/16 shaft.
Anybody know who the manufacture is or if the number tells anything about the prop.

    Kiekhaefer Mercury prop

Kamic (sp?) brand. The 48- was Mercury's designation for a prop. The following numbers then are the part number for that partiucular prop. The DU means it was design for D Runabout (or Utility as they were called back then).

Catalog lists it as prop for a 55H

That prop number shows up as sold by Mercury in the 1960/61 catalog as a racing prop for a D utility, here is a link to the page in the catalog as being the prop for use on a 55H.

No knowledge as to what the pitch is.

        Kamic

KAMIC - Kiekhaefer Aeromarine Motors Inc. That's what "Kamic" stands for.
