    Yup

Stay Tuned Mike. or rather tune your pipe up.

Burt... WHEN IS EVERYONE GONNA LEARN it IS Burts lane. Which one ? All of them. hehehehe. Depends if you are in it or not.

We can turn at that dragway. Leave your cubic dollar setups for those running those mile and half courses home. This one will take a driver to win. Just my personal preference I LOVE those tight courses. Gives those with less cash to spend on props a much better chance at winning.

      Lucas Oil drags

Looks like all of you good ole SEH guys will get a straight shot of the first turn for the balance of the year. My good Bass gear box is at the bottom of Racoon Lake in Centrallia. My other motor has stuck rings, may have to get new set of pistons. Hope the Bass unit will magically appear and I can free up the rings. Just hate to see you guys run without me!!!

If you use your tools tab on Google earth to measure Oshkosh it says about 525 feet from shoreline to shoreline. So if that lake is 400 feet wide you may need to go with one pin turns and 4 boats at a time.......

              Agreed

2 pins and 12 boats. We certainly don't want to look like dainty pansey 4 boat fields in front of that many spectators. The show must be great, not just a parade of 4 boats. Grow a set and back off the throttle in the first turn !!

Seriously though, I am ALL for 12 boats on that track. We need to man up in boat racing today. To many 6 or 8 boat only at race sites. Makes for a less than entertaining show. Heck, I hardly watch one if there is not at least ten in the heat.

2 pins? 12 boats? Sounds like fun. Game on! The only real issue I see if everyone's milling. But if everyone uses their heads and think smart we can solve that I'm sure.

If we race there, we need the Lucas Oil people to invite the Rockstar Energy Drink girls. Just saying. I'm tired of seeing pictures of Burt having all the fun.... :/ lol. Yo Jeff! Seeing as your a celebrity and all now, make this happen for me. ;p haha.

Dave, I would like to invite you to Oshkosh. Dring your D hydro and runabout, Then after the race you can explain to me how we can fit 12 out there. I was joking about the 1 pin and four boats, and how can you say grow a set and let off the throttle in the same breath???? lol!

                    Thanks Joe

                    Joe,

I have raced in Burlington, but not Oshkosh. I won't make it this year, as I am sponsored running in another organization. I race for Team Nichols Racing. Where the trailer goes, I go. So I am all set for now, thanks though. We race on a lot of small tracks, similar to Burlington, along with some tight river like courses. We manage to fit plenty through and have a ton of fun wetting each other down. I like the fact you have to drive a race boat rather than ride around in it. Just my feelings as I know there are a lot who prefer big riding courses. Each to his own.

                      Lucas next year

In order to get ready for the events next year at Lucas I have decided it is never to early to start the preparation. 12 boats and two pins will require an exceptional turning boat. To get the D MOD Roskowski ready I decided I need a little bit larger turn fine for the course. Might take a bit of time to cut and machine but it should be worth it!

Every course has its limits__safety being the main concern
Have raced with 16. 500 hydros and race was blacked flagged several time because of flips and crashes. Every class and course has its limits
And being its just for fun---might as well avoid the hospital

In all seriousness, I have set up many race courses over the years, and we have raced in many locations that many have said a course wont work here. but we have made it work, as a 3 holer driver, and 2 other classes, I would not put up a race course that I felt was unsafe. for myself or any other driver, some of the places we run a driver MUST use his head and throttle hand, 90+ mph is great in the straights but on tight courses, its all up to the driver, and at all our drivers meetings, the course is explained and SAFTEY issuses are ironed out, IF I personally even had a thought that a race course was not doable I wouldnt persue the sight. I do know that the Lucas Lake is doable and 12 boats can run it safely with limits. and those limits are up to the guy driving the boat. So yes it will be a Drivers course and the guy that uses his head more than the throttle will most be likely be the guy that can and will win at sites like this. Remember Vincens In??

                            Lucas testing

                            Hi Jeff,
Do you know if it would be possible to test at the Lucas facility this fall after the racing season. I for one would like to see how it will be to run there and actuall put a course out on it.

I like this idea, would be an awesome opportunity for the people in the area to get an idea of our sport as well as the people who run the facility. Almost like a scheduled test weekend. That way any issues that may arise could get worked out before a race were to be scheduled.
