I went with my pal Tom to Barnegat Bay NJ today to see outlaw Jersey skiffs & Garveys race. 1 garvey barrel rolled & landed back on its bottom -undamaged.. If the driver & rider didnt go swimmin they coulda kept goin! Just glad they weren't hurt, They checked the boat out & ran later. Another garvey appeared to propwalk [hard to tell in the spray] both were ejected but seemed ok too. The Skiffs & a Garvey did a memory lap for Buddy Bender, legendary skiff builder. Someone had a racing lawnmower, YikeS! that thing ripped!, plus some awesome hot rods. A fine day in the sun

Real Outlaws:

headed to Ione August 1-2. Last time there we had 14 inboard flat bottoms running time trials one at a time Nascar style with a flag man who knew his stuff. Photographers dream come true!

Gotta love the skiffs. Took a buddy's skiff out for a run on Sunday, they're always a blast!
Ours is coming along nicely and should be finished in less then a month now
