I hope that Jimmy and Pierre are ok. Growing up around the inboards, I've seen some pretty nasty things and I hope that these two competitors are truly in good condition. Both drivers are champions, and I can only hope will bounce back from this.

The crash is being reported by The Associated Press this morning and has been picked up by some local news outlets:

Lets hope for speedy recovery for both drivers

This is the latest update that I have:

They were both kept over night. Jimmy had water in his lungs, and was in pain but other than that he was ok.

Pierre has 4 broken vertebraes and may need surgery. I believe he had previous injuries to his back and neck that may have complicated this accident.

I will post any other news.

Get Well, Jimmy Shane. I hope you're OK for the big race in Roanoke Rapids next week. It has occurred to me that another season or two in A stock hydro, you could become a front runner in Region 4. So, keep your chin up and look at the bright side!

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.
