  • Thanksgiving

    Good morning all,

We just threw the maple injected turkey in the smoker and thought I'd take a minute to wish you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all have a wonderful day, and a special prayer goes out to our troops and their families.

It's that time again. Stuff yourself and watch the Lions get beat.
On a serious note, Happy Thanksgiving to all. God bless our troops that are unable to be home with us. Let us remember to be Thankful for what we have.

              we're doing trash can turkey . . .

bag of charcoal on the sand, metal pipe pounded into the sand, brined turkey mounted on the metal stake, covered with a 32 gal galvanized trash can. Oh yeah, soaked wood chips to add the smoky flavor.

Only one injury so far - barefoot daughter stepped on a hot coal - YEEOUCH!

Received circular in mail about 5 days ago for the Turkey Eating Regatta to be held at the Gallagher household. 27 will be eating together this afternoon including the entire Runne Racing Team and Navesink Racing Team.

Agenda for the 3 day festivities include watching football, playing washers(NASCAR tailgating game, like horseshoes), eating, watching the feature events at the 34th Annual Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium, laughs and a whole lotta fun. Oh yea, and a little yard work thrown in there of course!

                  Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I'm thankful for all the brave Men and Women around the world that allow me to sit on my fat rear with family and friends. My Son called from "somewhere outside Bagdad" yesterday because they came in to the Forward Operating Base for their weekly shower. They were getting ready to head back to their Patrol Base where they stay 4 guys to a Conex box with no electricity or running water.

He said to pass on a "Happy Thanksgiving" to all.

Steve, thanks for the update on your son.....It puts things into prospective.

Here's a great little way to say "Thanks" to the men and women that are away from home during the hollidays.....
