Would anybody know what dates the Spring Bakersfield, Ca race is being held? In addition, if it is the Western Divisionals?

the Bakersfield dates are Mar 1/2, still waiting on the word from Ernie/Ross on whether it will include the Western Stock Outboard Divisionals or not. They said (from the emails I got today) they will have the answer after the Parker Thanksgiving race.......

if yes, we go....

if no, we go to the Winter Nat's?????? 6500 miles round trip!

Can Mercguy (AKA Darren and some weird German last name...) give us a play by play trip equal to the west coast birdmen ? Or come close to Eddie Hearns account and live updates on his trip out west ???

My sources tell me it's March 1/2, which is playing total havoc with a previously planned Wedding and Reception date scheduled for 2/29. And I don't think she's going to buy the concept of waiting until 2012.

This is an Inboard race. Would be quite a challenge for SCSC to put on a full Inboard Race and a full Stock schedule. Frankly, I do not see it happening on that date. Just my opinion.

I agree with Bill, though it would be very cool! Now if stock boats could be ready and wet by 6:00AM, and the race could be run dawn to dusk, both days.....Think of the possibilities!

The Best Laid Plans.....

Well, that's been the Plan of Record: Small, Private Family Wedding at the house, Big A$$ reception at the Hydro Museum.

We both like the idea of 2/29: Her: "This way, we'll always be newlyweds." Me: "Cool, Anniversary Presents every four years!"

Anyway, we'll see how it all works out. Like that ol' bumper sticker says:

"We interrupt this Marriage to Bring You The Racing Season."
