  • Prop size for FEH?

I was wondering what size props most people are running in FEH. (Diameter, pitch and rake, ect.). Getting into the class and wondering if my current prop selection will work or if I have to order new ones.

    Thanks,

    Josh-

Hey are you talking about your 350 wheels? If you are, then yeah your going to have to order new props.

Call a prop man. Bryan Tharp is in your area, he races the class as well. he can give you some pointers on prop selection for your particular application. Hard to say what might work on your rig as a lot of factors including engine, and gearbox selection come into play.

If you are thinking your 350CCH wheels will work, they won't. Way to small in diameter. Remember, in Mod, you are restricted to 4 blades max.

Welcome to an exciting class that grows every year. Hope to see you at some NBRA races this year.

Ralph Cook (fastest FEH/SEH in my opinion) lives in Utica Mississippi. He might give you some advice as well. Have to watch out for him though, he likes mayo on his hot dogs.

I have got some other props that I have aquired from Tom, and I was just wondering if they were going to big enough. I am trying to do this as economiclly as possible, so just seeing if I have anything that may work. I don't want to sink to much money into it cause my 350 takes the majority of it. Erin can attest to that.

Hope everything is going good over there. Be safe.

If you are running one tooth under, any four blade close to 7 & 1/2", or larger would be worth trying.

            Thanks for the info Brian.

What would you suggest if running a 1:1 ratio?

              Josh-

Hey man it's going good over here, just trying not to get blown up. If you want I can email you my dads number. He's the one that has the props and can tell you if the ones that Tom gave you will work or not. It also depends on what gear ratio you are using too. I hope you guys are doing ok. Tell Erin i said hi.
