Aof ???

Since the racing season is coming to end, I was wondering if AOF has plans to hold a Fall National Meeting this year? If so, where will it be held and on what date??. No one that I have spoken to knows if there is and without any New Letters or postings here on HydroRacer, does anyone know? What has happened per AOF growth this last year? I am wondering if there were any meetings of the regional directors this last year and what are the plans for the coming season? Are there any change proposed with regards to rules books, any changes in directors duties or rule changes? We need a monthly newletter, period and better communications between the clubs, membership and the AOF elective body.

Good Question? I am supposed to be an AOF Idaho Director, but rarely do I know what is taking place within the organization. I have been somewhat out of touch the last few months due to dealing with my wifes illness, but no one calls to fill me in on AOF happenings and when ever I have tried to contact members of our executive officers, I get no response to messages left to call me. To my knowledge, there has been no executive or directors meetings held. I am sorry to say that I do not know if there is a National Meeting planned for this year.

I beleive that if AOF is to remain strong in the coming years, a strong communication network has to be established. A united and informed body must become paramount if we are to survive and grow our sport. I can see no subsitute for regular meetings or an open newsletter to the memebership keeping the very people that we are supposed to serve informed and excited about new and upcoming events.

recieved a email from Ronda about a SLORA awards and dinner on the 10th, but it did not say anything about a AOF meeting or club meeting before the awards. Sorry I will not able to be there have plans to be in Nelson BC for a hockey game that weekend pending if she makes bail. I lost your number try to get ahold of you some how spud

Dennis, I don't remember receiving the email about the banquet on the 10th or the AOF meeting but it has been a long month. How much you need for bail? I almost needed bail money after we were escorted out of Joeys Restaurant and Bar located Downtown Seattle on Lake Union but that is a different story. But I would like to say Hi to Tania and thanks for everything that night (you know what i am talking about) just remember R-15 baby! And to the parking attendent who let us out of the parking lot when we only had $100 dollar bills and we owed 3 bucks for parking even after validating our parking ticket. Anyway, i missed the Region-10 banquet Saturday night, due to friday night. Yes, it was that good. Yes, it lasted that long. And Yes, it was worth it. Be back in SpokaVegas on Tuesday. Look me up Spud, i got some good stories.

Congrats to Brent and Josh Harnack for taking 1st Place in Region 10 for the National Modified and the 1 Liter Modified Inboard Classes. Sorry i missed it, but I have great stories when i return. It's been a long week
