Is a "Single Event membership" good for both days of a weekend regatta?

I just did this for my brother at Lock Haven. I believe each day of racing is considered a seperate event.

The single event should cover a single event or race. I do know that you can not use a single event at Nationals. I also think that a single event can not be counted as a boat for divisionals (have to have 3 or 4 depending true APBA members and the SE can run as an extra boat).

Good for one day only. However, if you are new to APBA the single event fee may be applied to a full membership later in the year.

If the single event is in October 07, is it good toward 2008 membersip?

I talked to the APBA office couple of days ago and they are not accepting 2008 memberships until the end of the month. So, I assume a single event membership prior to Jesup will not work towards 2008.

maybe Kev will pipe up, he has researched this subject fairly well.
IF the person using the single event membership has NOT been a member of the APBA then i think it can be used against next years membership.
if the person has been an APBA member then I think you have 30 days or so to get the full membership with a discount of the single event cost.

If you go to the APBA web site and open resources. Then download forms. Scroll down to Scorers handbook open it. All the info on Single Event membership can be found on page 10.

I talked with APBA last week and they said that you can join at the race in Jesup and the membership would be good for all of 2008, i.e a 13 month membership.We did not discuss single event memberships.
