I got a chance to make a couple test runs at Whitney Point with the new production version of the 15 cube Sidewinder. With my normal set up using my long course prop the motor was out of prop half way to the first turn on the short course that was set up.
The motor pulled strong through and out of the turns till it peaked with the prop that I was using. As this was just to make a couple test runs before the race we didn’t have all the test stuff in the boat to get a speed and rpm reading but from the feel and that way it carried the boat it is very close to the old motor with more tweaks to make. The motor plans the boat off quick and starts on the first pull in the water. Ed and the company has put a lot of time and work in this project and its showing now. We will be making more tests in the next couple weeks after I find some bigger props and will post the results in numbers.
