Well, PP stayed true to form in the fact that it wasn't too smooth. Several incident reports were filled out, one from myself included, and low visibility from sun glares was a big issue. No one was hurt, thankfully. We had a triad course this year which was kinda fun, nice and big with streched out corners.
I'm sure someone will post the results soon. It was a great race. Extremely well run---Kip--great job with your advertising because there was a good spectator turnout. BSOA-great job all around. OH yea--let's not forget the great announcing--educated the spectators--kept everyone informed. Definitely had a good share of mishaps but NOONE hurt.
JSR
Split heats between Dylan Runne and Kurt Nydahl. Nydahl won on time. Amy Nydahl and Jace Scheffler. This was a phenominal race as each rig looked identical on speed. You could not tell who was going to win on time, it was that close.

Reason: Add more results-short memory
Very little wind on Saturday and we stretched the course out and ran on a big triangle, this was the best water we have ever had there. On Sunday it was windy, so yeah, it got bumpy but what race course does'nt? I think the main thing is that we figured out how to lay out a course there and have decent water on at least some of the course even if the wind is blowing. Kip made up a nice map of the course out of a Google Earth image, maybe he would be kind enough to post it. Everyone who commented to me about the course said it was fun.
Glare late in the afternoon is an issue racing this late in the season. If we race there late in the season again we will have to start earlier and be done by 4. May have to go to pre-registration so we can start racing by 10 am.
thanks again to Kip for all of his hard work. we did have a good turn out of spectators due to the advertising. the band Saturday night was good, we had concessions, warm weather, clean water (rare for us in WI/IL) and a good turn out of boats.
I agree with Bill. Great race site! The weather was perfect! Very well run race. I think the only reason we ran so late Saturday was because we had so many heats of racing to run. The schedule went smooth, I had a great time! I look forward to next year!
I think the water conditions were great. (but that's just me)
THANK YOU KIP!
Also thank you to everyone else who helped coordinate and run this race. It takes a lot of leadership and knowledge to put together a race. And you guys do a great job!
There was a lot of great racing all weekend. Too many great races for me to name a particular one. I will say my personal highlight was seeing the 6 cylinder looper demonstration runs. Those boats and engines are a real piece of racing history. And the sound was awesome!
Another note: On Sunday, Curt Birginal finished out the last race of his rookie season with a win in CSR! Great job Curt!
can not believe all the help that is available at the race sites...even people that are in my own class are helping to get more speed out of my boat....
for a first time racer to come into this sport I could not be this far with out all the help from you guys.....thanks a ton
Rod Terzinski and family mostly...I told Rod I think I have more of his stuff than he does...first class people
see ya next year.......
