Thanks for the comments Bob. If this and the other promo video doesn't get their attention, I don't know what will. I contacted Lucas Oil to see if they are interested in becoming a sponsor for the Top O. I'm awaiting a response. I welcome any other companies that you guys feel should sponsor this race, post em here.

Lee, Myself and a BUNCH of other folks recieved the helmet cam DVD from Darrell Sorenson. Darrell mailed them out to a lot of prospective Top 'O racers, like myself. Yes, the helmet cam video covers Sunday's race course from start to finish.
Darrell, like so many others, works very hard to promote our sport. The value of his efforts are priceless.

How much is the DVD? I think the DVD should be included in the proposal. That way the networks can get a tour of the Sundays part of the race course.

The DVD is a great study tool for racers. But, it might be rather boring at times, especially to a non-boat racer. Editing the DVD to show highlights might actually be better. But, that's just my opinion.

Yeah putting together a highlight reel would be better. No I haven't worked with McGinnis video.

I will send you a copy of Pete's helmet cam. It is the complete Sunday leg from '06. Josh Person had Pete's on Saturday this year, but failed to work. I would have interesting to see what Josh's reaction & words was when his 44SX threw a rod!

I had to correct a spelling error that was on the trailer video so I fixed it and uploaded a new one:

I also spoke with Bob and Nick Ladd earlier tonight. We went through alot of old boat racing videos from the 1950's on up to 1993. Bob is going to make me copies of the tapes that I have selected and should have them for me by Monday and then I can start getting the promotional video put together.

Actually Darrell, I went out and bought all this new high-tech helmet cam gear. If I would have just used Pete's, we probably would have had some video of this years race. Although it would have only been half the race... the other half would have consisted of footage the FCC would still be reviewing... especially when Nick buzzed by me with 100 feet of river on one side, and 3 inches between him and I on the other... Love ya Nick
