  • 44XS Parts?

    Looking for some 44xs parts...

I had some bad luck this year at the Marathon Nationals and threw a rod out of my baby. My dad and I are in the process of tracking down and location some new organs for her. Some of the items we still need donors for:

    - New Flywheel
    - New Crankshaft
    - New Faceplate

We're pretty confident we can locate these items eventually at my dads marina. However, we figured if anyone already has them ready to go at a reasonable cost, we'd make our lives a little easier. For example, we hear that Mark Wheeler knows of a place to get a new flywheel. If this is true Mark, can you send me the contact information?

    Thanks
    Josh

Can't you just go to your local Mercury dealer?

Not really, the flywheel is a race part only, the crank went NLA at $1,043.55, the block went NLA at $650.00.

          try Dave Scott

            NOS block

Weinandt had an NOS 44XS block for sale on Ebay a couple weeks ago that did not sell for $495............I bet he still has some 44XS stuff. The flywheel you can make out of a HP 2.5L Merc V6, using the original 44XS hub......the cranks are all over the place for sale.........

              44XS Parts

              Its Wienandt...

(Geez, that sounds like "its Fronkensteen")

Check Ron Hill's site, under '44XS Secrets'

He was kind enough to post this for me. For you, really...

I sent it to Dan, twice. Never got any response. What's that about?
I'll send it as a file again, if he'll post it for all to see... just tell me where to send it.

Anyway, the point is, this stuff shouldn't be 'secret', it should be common knowledge.

              Hope this helps.
