Again I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers through this tough time. Yesterday (8/24/07), we moved my father from Cincinnati to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, which is 0.5miles from my brother (Dave) and 1.5miles from me. This will allow us to get to my father at the drop of a hat and enable us to be with him as much as the center allows us. He is still in some pain but we are getting him ready for therapy which will start this Monday (8/27/07).

Wyatt Nelson - NY thoughts for recovery are with you.
Wyatt,
Best wishes from all your Friends and Architectural Colleagues in Syracuse. We all hope for the speediest of recoveries and everyone is available to help you in any way towards that result.
Concentrate on getting yourself healed up and make the transition back to New York as soon as possible. You are missed.
The Lanphear and Nelson families spent many years of stock outboard racing in Region 2, we raced and played together as kids,I am privileged to call Wyatt my friend.I just left his room at the Shepard Spinal clinic and his spirits were high.He had such an infectious smile on his face when engaged in the topic of boat racing. He could use many more of those conversations over the next several weeks. The entire Lanphear family extends their thoughts and prayers for Wyatt and his family.
On 10/26/07 (Friday) my father was released from the Shepherd Center in Atlanta and flew home to his house in Syracuse. My Grandfather (Fred), with some help from my Dad's cousin, have been working hard trying to get the house modified to fit my father's needs. Dad still has no feeling from his chest down but is working hard every day to try to change that. With his hard work ethic he will be able to achieve many more things I'm sure. He is still running his business and has been working ever since one week and a half after his accident. We were going to try to get down to the Savannah race to close the season off, however, logistics weren't on our side and he flew home two weeks before the race. We just wanted to thank everyone for all of their thoughts, prayers, cards, and gifts. It is greatly appreciated during this tough time.
