Be patient, when they go on the market, it will be because they are done right not done quickly. It would have been nice to see it run but Sled spent all week dealing with inspection.John Runne

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.
True parity is one motor per class.
It's RACING, not just another boat ride!
NOT a representative of Racing Outboards LLC.

Disclaimer: This is only what I see, this in no way reflects the views of anyone associated with the "Sidewinder" project.
I understand that some might be a little discouraged with the time it has taken to produce a motor, however, don't forget that there is one man doing all this. It usually takes a company about 20 ppl to do all the R&D, machining, testing, shopping for good reliable production companies, etc, etc, etc.... just to produce a fishing motor. One man is giving you a high performance reliable racing motor and is doing a great job doing so. The motors not only look great, but also run great, trust me it pushed my fat ass around the course with no problem. Proud of you Sled, keep up the the good work(you too Uncle Hank)!sigpic

Risky
Risky maneuver asking what people think. Funny you posted this, while in the attic last night I found a Hot-Rod new letter from September 1997. I will try to scan it, many of the issues that were being dicussed ten years ago have not been resolved. We have seen a funky cycle of a little decline followed by a little growth in the Hot Rod B class. And we are discussing many of the same topics. Class participation, new motors, new parts etc.... the single difference is someone is actually developing the new parts and the new motors not patching our old parts...........there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Let's be a bit patient and support the effort.
People claim to be chomping to get this new motor... lets get it on the water and let the chompers get their teeth back into this class....clearly the best ride in our sport if you haven't had the luxury of driving one you will be sold after one lap.
