  • 07 Carnage Nationals........

what a week. I do not remember seeing so many boats (including 2 of mine) get damaged and repaired as much as at this National. You could hear saws going and smell glue drying all week long and LOTS of duct tape!!!!

a big applause for the clan (Steen, Sattler, Lewis, Peabody, etc) for getting Cory Peabody's DSH (and to place 2nd in the finals with a Tohatsu) repaired in time for the finals....................them boys worked their butts off repairing half the **** boat that got busted up in a milling "oops"..............

also to Dan H. and crew doing a 5 minute repair job to get his DSH back on the water to win the DSH title! Great job to all!!!

sorry that Kyle's DSH was not a 5 minute fix.............Drew is gonna be a busy man!

        Great Racing

What a great show. I could unfortunately only be there for the Saturday races. I can never remember being excited watch the A-stocks run, they did an outstanding job. All the races were outstanding. Twelve competitive boats, a reasonably sized course, and minimal delays made it great for spectators. My friend Dwight with his never-ending rhetoric kept my interest. Great job to all running the program and racing.

I did stop by Ed Hears trailer to shake hands and start a fresh. Ed commented that we have different agendas. I think we will probably never agree on much, but we did agreed to disagree and closed with a handshake. I met with John Runie to discuss a proposal for bringing new engines to APBA, I closely surveyed the new Hot Rod, met some friends from way back. then back on the road for a same day 5-hour drive home.

        Thanks, to all,
        Neil Bass
