Today Dad went out and tested the gas from the local stations in Indian River. He tested all grades from these stations. The Shell, the BP, the Marathon, and the Ken's. The only station that did not have legal gas was the Shell station. So if your traveling a long way you have no need to worry about finding legal gas once you get here. Again you can get legal gas of any grade from the BP, Marathon, or Ken's in Indian river. Any other questions about the Race contact me with a private message or at chagerl@gmail.com

Just Make Sure
You have it re-tested before racing with it. It is possible they will get a tanker in to fill their tanks and it might change the meter. That is what happened to me last year at the Nat's. Legal gas all year at home until one time... and it was the one that counted.... oh well, that's racing.Dave Mason

Alanson Gas
The Marathon in Alanson has good gas, Louies or the shell station is not legal. Some advice for all Michigan drivers, I have talked to a shell station owner, Kyle's Mother, and she explained that most shell stations in Michigan have the same distributer and where adding 10% ethanol to their gas, therefore- that is probably the reason the shell stations are not passing the meter.
So again, marathon racers can get gas that the Marathon in Topinabee, either BP in Indian River, The Ken's in Indian River, and the Marathon in Alanson.Last edited by hagerl8m; 08-15-2007, 05:02 PM.Chris

BP Station for Top O gas
