John just finished a beautiful front porch for me before he left for the Nats so I can't complain too much. However, it did take 5 years of "gentle pushing" to get the job started. I wonder how many Runne Crafts got built in that time? When he returns the honey-do list will be waiting. As will chilled Michelobs on the porch.

O.K. I spent another day NOT at the nationals cleaning, organizing, cutting grass, killing weeds and burning debris. One bright spot, we had a birthday party for Shadow's 3rd birthday. Please, someone just shoot me now. We haven't heard from the male "left behinds". Where are you Troy, Earl, Matt, Dennis etc. ??? What have you been doing? Are you so depressed that you can't get on here and tell what you've been doing to keep yourselves busy and not thinking about not being at the nationals???? Come on guys, we wnat to hear from you!!!!!

Sorry I was busy cutting up the boat to use in the Mexican oven out back. The smores should taste good. The Yamatos went to the scrap yard with my buddy. Seems you can get 10 cents a pound for aluminum these days.

Wow Troy, you sound really depressed. I have a "friend" who can get you some meds if you need them. Don't do anything drastic, you may regret it later. Although, the smores sound really good and there is some lumber out back that I would love to get rid of...Maybe John and Ryan won't notice it gone when they get back. Serves them right for leaving us home alone.

This is the most entertaining boat racing internet reading since the comedic ramblings of Mike Barrett. These national threads are great! Brings back memories of: smelly van rides, the feeling of putting on wet shoes in the morning, blowing up the gas to fill the carb while trying not to puke, sleeping wherever seemed best after drinking all night with your best friends, and so many more seemingly twisted memories. I wouldn't change a thing if I could do it over. Good times... Great People...

Just returned from Texas

I have enjoyed the thread alot, I have been busy working, built some shelves in a friends garage over the past weekend so they can park two cars inside instead of only one. Will have some very interesting news to share very soon, I fly out to buffalo ny to pick up a van on friday, and driving it back to NC over the weekend, thats my travel plans for the week. Oh Joy!

Hey Bootie, Remember planning the Rumson Regatta parties? The hot dog machine blowing up? Me getting into a fight with the jet skiers girl friend? Good times, good times. There still has never been a party to compare to the Rumson parties. Let's plan a Rumson Regatta Reunion. How about that nephew of ours? Bootie, It is quiet, especially with Ryan gone That boy never stops talking. Sled, Worm & Greg will probably buy ear plugs for the ride home. I love not cooking. The girls and I went out to dinner tonight and I spent more on that one meal then I have since the guys left. It was well worth it We are all planning on going to Lock Haven, including Brit. She hasn't been to a race in a long time. Serious boyfriend, you know? All the Runne's together in one place at the same time What are the Thanksgiving plans up there? Brit & Allie have told me they want to go to Rumson for turkey. Table for 23???? Hey, let's plan Thanksgiving dinner at Victory Park. We could pull that one off.

No nationals but...

Didn't make it to the nationals but was able to get the boat out for some testing. 2008 nationals here i come. Now that the boats ready I can concentrate on practicing for cooler bobbing at Lock Haven.
