Its never gets too rough on the lakes, does it guys & gals, or in the Indian River entrance chute, (below)

      Asr 56M .... top"O" 2006........ thanks Kevin

and we probably won't need windshields, but once your out there in the lake, I guarantee, at least once, you won't regret having put one on.:

The photos from last year are still up if you need to get an idea what a small portion of the river is like.

How much does a 44xs use?... roughly. I measured my capacity today. I can carry 7 gallons in my two tanks. Think That'll be enough?

          tanks for your help.

              Gas for 44xs

              Jeff,

Nick is right on. You do not want to run out of gas a 1/4 mile from the finish line after making it through the whole course.!!!!!

                my 2 cents

4.5 gallons plenty, take prop wrench and tape to clamp handles to prevent from coming loose, the only person who ever seamed to throw shear pins was
Craig Bowman, but a spare pin, nut, and washer is not a bad idea. Depends on what kick out bracket you are using but a spare in case yours gets beat to death the first day is a good idea. One fin in the middle of the boat about 25-30 inches foreward always seemed to work for me. The trick to right hand turns is more wheel, not more lean, a 25 has enough power to turn from the motor torque, to much lean causes the prop to come out of the water, same for left turns. You can put a cowl on the boat but the disilva I raced for Vic only had a small one, not realy used for water deflection, the bailers are a good idea, I never used them but you never know.

                Have fun
