I hate to suggest that you mess with your graphics, but, ya gotta get some kind of windshield on that rig. Not so much as to block the wind, but to deflect that easy roller from creeping it’s way up the deck & just flooding the cockpit.
Its never gets too rough on the lakes, does it guys & gals, or in the Indian River entrance chute, (below)

and we probably won't need windshields, but once your out there in the lake, I guarantee, at least once, you won't regret having put one on.:
Jeff....I run 6 gallons both days and have never ran short....I have been told that 51/2 gallons will do it but Im not gonna chance it after pounding it out for 40 miles....See you this weekend...Nick.
4.5 gallons plenty, take prop wrench and tape to clamp handles to prevent from coming loose, the only person who ever seamed to throw shear pins was
Craig Bowman, but a spare pin, nut, and washer is not a bad idea. Depends on what kick out bracket you are using but a spare in case yours gets beat to death the first day is a good idea. One fin in the middle of the boat about 25-30 inches foreward always seemed to work for me. The trick to right hand turns is more wheel, not more lean, a 25 has enough power to turn from the motor torque, to much lean causes the prop to come out of the water, same for left turns. You can put a cowl on the boat but the disilva I raced for Vic only had a small one, not realy used for water deflection, the bailers are a good idea, I never used them but you never know.
