Incredibly, today is Jack's 70th birthday. Jack, you've been my favorite racing buddy since I met you at Vincennes, Indiana 11 years ago. I've always loved your combination of buttoned up, hard-ass, by-the-book, Air Force Colonel personna along with a great sense of humor and willingness to help out at every race, always supporting the sport and sharing your experience with old and new racers alike. I guess if I'm not to old to have heroes then you are one for me. Best wishes and many thanks.

I'm planning on going to Centralia. It's going to be tough to get the time off but I'm going to try to go to Shelbyville also. (I used most of my vacation time early this year. That's why Shelbyville is a maybe and why I couldn't go to the APBA Nats.) I hope you can make the Centralia race Richard. I'll be looking for you.
