This isn't a replica. It isn't a restoration. It's not even a clever PhotoShop gimmick. This is a brand new Craig Craft D runabout built by the man himself. It's rigged out as a D Mod here in Olympia this past weekend, but plans are for it to appear in DePue with a PR, and Moses Lake with D Stock. JW Myers is driving.

Craig Craft
I owe everything I know about boats and plans to Craig Selvidge and Tim Butts. When I was nine years old, I ordered a set of J-Stock Craig Craft plans from Craig and built my first boat. A couple of years later, I ordered a set of Craig Craft A-Stock plans and built several more. Craigs plans were the best I had ever seen and to this day, I still model my plans after his. Thanks Craig for the vision.

I was walking through the pits in Olympia and came across this boat and stopped in my tracks. It's really nice. Some really nice wood inlay work on the dash too.
As far as Craig Craft, I too ordered a set of plans from Craig a long, long time ago (which I still have). I used them to "learn" how hydros were built.
Back to the boat, everything about it was cool. Right down to the name and of course the way it ran.

My Last Stock Boat
In 1976 I took delivery of a new Craig Craft 25ssr, Craig signed the bottom "The Last One" then went to Australia. What a great boat, I cannot remember who it was sold to but if anyone out there has the info I would appreciate it.

Looks like Craig picked up right where he left off. He did the inlay on the dash and painted it black like all the boats he ran. I also got a Craig Craft in 1976. I got his personal boat which looked very close to the old school boat. J W it sure looks good. Hope to see it soon. Is Craig going to be building some boats in the future? His craftmanship speaks for it self. Shoot me a private message with his contact info. Mikemike ross
