I believe that I saw an 11th or 12th place finish for Bill out of 22 entries.

In a msg from Rex King;
"Bill ran 5th first heat, would have done better if he had a better starts from the jetty, sorry to say your props are made for running starts, he was last into the top pin but the prop then was into top end and worked his way thrugh the pack, 2nd heat he got hit a few times and was down to 12th i think. 3 rd heat he got hit from the back end then a hit in the front, and sat looking into 15 boats going all around him.
HE finished 12th over all not bad for only two heats[of 3] counting for points.
