  • Brian Palmquist Update.......

I just spoke to Brian & he is going to be discharged today!

Surgery went well & his collar bone is what is bothering him the most. Along w/some sore knees that folded his steering wheel back.... But nothing some "Percs" can't fix for the interm.

He is in very good spirits & plans to watch todays racing.

    On the mend............

Brian, glad to hear that you're back home and feeling better. Takes a bit of effort to get back to your regular routine sometimes.

    Good luck,

I talked to Brian a bit in the afternoon. He was back at the race site and holding his phone in his left hand but all his right fingers wiggle. He apparently had a great hand guy in Columbus and things turned out well. Legs are sore, didn't ask him about the collarbone and he didn't say anything so that can't be too bad until it comes time to lay down to sleep. He had to leave to go watch JP win BMH. No sweep for them this year in BMH, CMH, DMH and FEH but there's always next year at Whitney Point.

                          Never a doubt

And you have some very capable drivers, equiptment on your team. Glad to hear that Bri will recover and I'm looking forward to frustrate your efforts in at least 2 of those classes next season.

When we left last night from Zanesville Brian seemed his normal self. The trailer was being packed and Jerry, John, & Amy were doing a bang up job under Brian's close watch with a wrapped up lame arm. The pain killers must have been working as when he returned on Saturday from the hospital he was right out in the water greeting and shaking his brothers hand after the BMH win. Sam will need to order some more wood. Between the Palmquist and Hauenstein crashes he has alot of work now. Sam maybe you can convert Brians boat into a runabout for Brent. It doesn't have any sponsons so you'll just need to add a few feet going forward. Brian had an appointment Monday morning with the skilled micro surgeon who put him back together. He should be home by late tonight if everything is healing well. It sure was a bummer to see the FEH sitting there and not getting a chance to repeat. I think he would have had a great chance. Thats all for now!! Mike
