The question is from a Brian Williams in Washington. It's fair to say that he is not aware of the history and may be a new racer as well.
I know you guys must have been thinking of the Brian "10-S" formerly "10-P" Williams. Anyway, didn't want the WA Williams to be discouraged by his question.
To Jack and Greg - Becareful with your comments towards us Brian Williams' - Your comments will be relayed to the football player (I think w/ the Giants) as well as the NBC news anchor, who just might mention both of your names during the news (if course under the "most wanted" segment).
Mark - Thank for straightening out the confusion. Would not want my "friends" abusing the wrong person.
To my counterpart on the west coast - Sorry for the confusion and your getting the abuse for my "sins" - trust me, they mean no harm and both would have answered much more informatively if they didn't think you were me. If fact, Greg used to have a racecraft and was tough to beat in it.
As stated before, racecraft's are built by The Trolian family. They mostly make smaller sized boats (J, A & B) both hydros & runabouts. But I know of at least 1 C runabout that was out there a few years ago. At one time they were made all out of fiberglass but I am not sure if that remains true today. I have never driven on but from the comments of those that do drive them, very good boats, fast and stable.
I am sure some other who have driven them would be glad to help you out and there are usually one or two floating around for sale once in awhile.
Brian I appoligize i also thought you were Brian W from OH. I am a Trolian and have a bised opinion but I am sure my Father who builds the racecraft boats would love to tell you anything you want to know. He does not get on HR but you can call him at 859-466-8047.
To Brian W from OH The racecraft hulls are now made of carbon fiber. So yes we are still making out of composite. Oh and don't forget the 20SSH boats that were built.

Pops (Trolian) is also one of the nicest guys you will meet. He build sin mainly graphite, and glass. Currently Carbon is so expensive you have to hunt around until you can find some at a reasonable price, so I imagine they use the hybrids and some glass.
They build both Hydros and Runabouts. I saw a A hydro kick some serious butt this last weekend, and also the runabouts kicked some serious butt as well. Smaller boats are their sepcialty I think. However, as some mentioned, they build larger boats. I know Pops built a 500CCH Capsule and also has built SST45 tunnel boats I believe.

Brian,
Did not recognize your boat number (it is so rarely on one of your boats). I thought your Dad was using some Carbon but did not know how much/ to what extent and did not want to speak for Team Racecraft. I had forgotten about the 20 boats - good memory. The only reason I remember the C U is I carried more than once.
Hope to see you down at Zville.
I have to echo what Dave Mason said about Bob Trolian. I was lucky enough to be in Gainesville, FL at U of F and had the chance to be somewhat of a helper for Bob back then. Paul, Brian, and Sharon were all little squirts and baby sitting was sometimes parts of the gig. Bob is a visionary and can see what a boat will look like way before it is complete. Each step is well thought out, engineered to last many seasons, and designed with the drivers safety first. The speed comes with the name. I leaned alot during that time of my life and retained most of what he taught me. You will always find him helping out his competition to find that extra 1 or 2 mph just so he can make a race a little closer. Just keep in mind..........he'll never teach you ALL he knows. Wouldn't be any fun that way. If he tells you something though........depend on it being the right advice.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I'm one of those to fat for ASR and going along for the ride CSR drivers. BSR looks like a great class, hope it takes off in the northwest soon.
Because I work the weekend/graveyard shift I'm only able to race once or twice a year, But I've owned a ASR or CSR since 82.
Brian10s: I don't mind abuse from friends (your or mine). Do you have the football players phone number though? I might need that.
