    Great picture Dan

Reminds me of the album cover for "Street Survivors". The paint jobs seem to lack a little originality though Good weather, good people, fast boats, good times!

      Lunatic Fringe Report!

Any members of the Region 10 Lunatic Fringe care to report on the past weekend activity at Lawrence?

        Records

Aaron Peterson set the only outboard record this weekend in JH. J. Michael Kelly set the 2.5 Mod record, he looked really good driving that inboard. And there were a couple more records set by some other inboard drivers.

        Kyle

A 5 Liter blew over right in front of the outboard pits going down the back stretch. Driver was ok, but man was that cool to see only about 50 yards in front of us.

I was not there on Sat. and I'm sure Kyle or some other racers can fill you all in on this a bit better.....

For all of you who have raced at Yelm and know the long dock at the outboard pits that extends out to about lane 30 in turn two, well a five liter hydro got a bit lost on the course and took out the last 20 feet or so of it. Sinking the dock and more less cutting the boat in half.

I spoke with Carol Dodge, who told me his canopy fogged up and instead of shutting down he turned right and ran smack into the dock..

That 5 litre blow over was really something to see right in front of all of us, glad the driver was ok.

Wat to go Aaron !!!! good job on that record.

            Can't forget about Air Byrne

Speaking of aired out this weekend, I can't decide whether or not 69R should have a canard installed for Sean's safety this weekend

Either way, the long course stainless comes out this weekend!
The weather got really snotty Saturday afternoon (just in time for the FIRST heats of outboard). Sean had a spectacular blowover coming down the back stretch, facing our pits. Fortunately Sean and the boat parted ways, but Sean still had some pain after landing, it was really great to see him Sunday morning. Russ Bircher also went swimming, I heard that a steering component broke, the left side chine was pretty much destroyed. I almost forgot, Aaron #1 and Aaron #2 got tangled up coming out of the pits in J stock. Somehow the back of Aaron #2's boat ended up on the deck of Aaron #1's boat.

            Intersting weekend all in all.

Just got back from Tacoma screw and found it sitting in my front yard, guess I better get going on it so Russ can race it this weekend... like I have nothing else to do.....

Sean is feeling a bit better ....

but still somewhat stiff in the neck.

Next weekend 69R will have a little different look .... for one, a new crew chief as the previous failed to install the canard.

Thanks to everyone who helped get things back together after the Air Byrne show. And thanks to Kyle Lewis for running an unknown (to him) boat on Sunday.

AND running it **** fast I might add. Karl, maybe add the canard after you get done with Russ' boat.

Dave Villwock set the SuperStock record @ 102 and change on Saturday, then changed motors on Saturday night and set the ProStock record @ 111 and change on Sunday. This thing was an absolute missle.

J Michaels 2.5 mod record was 104 and change I think. This boat is also a rocket ship.

I've had several requests for video footage of my blowever. Did anyone happen to take any? I would rather just forget about the whole thing, but you know have family and friends are......they seem to enjoy your misery If anyone happened to grab any video or pictures please let me know.

Correct boat, but I believe George Woods was behind the wheel.
