How fast do you have to run in OSY400 to win in Europe?
-Oh, Wait... Those are actually stock outboard motors...

65.6 was good enough to win the ’06 AOF Nationals and also the ’07 APBA Winter Nationals. All below 3/4 inch………………….
There are a lot of CSH’s that go 70+. We must all remember that the course has two turns in it....
Don't forget to have fun!!!!!!!!

It looks as though 66 is the magical number that everyone who has some wins to their credit is showing. I would imagine the real question is how fast do you get 66. I bet the winners are getting the 66 faster than us Okies are. I have been competitive, but not winning with the 66. Looks like I need to work on getting 66 as soon as i come out of the turn. Can't wait to get back in the water after the Winter Nationals!!!!!!!!!

Yes Dr. Rick, you taught me that one at the AOF nats. You walked from me big time coming out of the first turn and got to your top end faster me for sure. Don't play possum, you are one of the men to beat.

I think it's because the GPS satellites in the East are slower...
Seriously, a GPS is only going to give you an approximate speed. You're going to have variablility due to the ability of the unit to get signal (type, location). When you get signal, it says "Accurate up to XX feet". I've never seen one show less than 20 feet of accuracy. The quick direction change going through a turn can make them spike. And it is a max speed - unless you have your eyes locked on it, you won't know where on the course it's peaking.
We've seen 71 on the GPS at 3/4". We laughed and put another prop on.Mike Johnson
