  • looking for average speed of csh under new 3/4 rule

    Hey i just took my new boat out and ran my 102 for the first time. I am looking to see what average speeds people are getting now with the new 3/4 rule to see how i place with the speeds i got from my gps.

          I'm not trying to start fights i would just like to know the average speed if anyone can help me. I am new to csh and am trying to set my new boat up.

              back when i raced c their was no restriction on engine hight.I ran the best keller speedo there was at the time and i would run 65-67@7050rpms.Good luck

                We are running the same speed we ran at 1/2" if that helps any. I would say if you are around the 66 mph range you should be pretty good.

                  66? I thought you had to go 70+ to win in CSH?

                    Yup, saw 74 MPH at 1 7/8 deep with a 102 and semi-fouled plugs....or was it 76.... yea....76.....

                      Somewheres around 70 (+ or - a few) sounds good for CSH. 66 was what I was seeing on my 15ssH rig with the prop shaft an inch down. I should mentiuon that Butch Dewald liked the fact I was running deep and did some magic prop tweaking. Bottom line, you can run deep and with a good prop you'll still honk!

                              66 around the course or 70 at the end of the 1 1/2 mile course...I think I'll take the 66.

                              BTW...even though we were not the fastest last year we were only seeing 66.
